Research Scientist

BSc., Ph.D.

I'm a young Scientist from Trinidad and Tobago, dedicating my life to exploring and researching the processes and scientific mechanisms underlying the world we live in. I have received several awards and grants for my research, with projects and publications that you can learn more about below.

My Scientific Interest

Major projects that I currently work on

Women's Health including Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Menopause & Early Childhood Trauma

2024 - Present

Studying women's health by integrating electronic health records and genomic data across biobanks helps to identify and build risk models for associations with other health conditions. Bioinfomatics plays a crucial role as we have to quality control large data and use predictive models to help with early diagnosis.

Reproductive and Mental Health in Adolescents and Adulthood

2022 - Present

Studying women's health in both adolescencents and adulthood is crucial as it helps us understand the lifecycle thus allowing us to identify critical periods for intervention and support. In essence a life cycle approach to studying women's health recognizes the dynamic nature of health.

Electromagnetic radiation & Polycystic Ovaries

2018 - Present

We are exposed daily to a variety of frequencies through invisible waves. Some of these waves are harmful, others are not. My research focuses on the non-ionizing radiation frequencies that can be used non-invasively in the medical field.

We only have a rudimentary understanding of polycystic ovaries at this time. Answering these questions is critical for understanding the mechanistic role it plays in other scientific fields, as well as developing tools to further this research avenue with more sensitive measurements and better data collection.Women who have been diagnosed with the disease are entitled to a better quality of life.
